From Chapter Five: The Illinois Central came to Bloomington in 1906 as the Indianapolis Southern Railroad. The IC had a very small yard between Walnut and Indiana streets, near the Indiana University campus. Illinois Central Gulf (ICG) Paducah-rebuild GP-10 #8013 and a GP40 work the yard on October 13, 1976. (Richard Koenig)
